Preferred solution: Stop charging the $5
Highway 58 store ,Chattanooga. Constantly over charging on value card items. Horrible customer service inter action with night manager .
Attempted to make food purchases,some of which were on sale with coupon for Friday only (1/31/20) . Sale items did not show correct savings.
This is a common occurrence at this store. I informed the cashier of the error . She made an attempt to solve the problem but could not, I was then approached by what appeared to be the head cashier and the night manager,both accusing me of already using my value card today. I informed him I had most surely not,his ( I think his name may be Lester)response was the computer does not make mistakes.
His attitude grew nasty when asked how this could happen.His response was someone else must have used the card. I assured this was not the case. He became more agitated and offered no more assistance. I have noticed him in the store on more than one occasion,he seems to have a sour demeanor and it spreads to the rest of the staff.
Seeking to find an answer for my problem,I went to the Food City store on Lee Highway,picked up the same items gave the cashier my value card,she rang up the items and then swiped the coupons,every thing went with out a single problem and the cashier was courteous.
I will never set foot in the Hyway 58 store again,bad customer service and constant pricing conflicts have turned me from headache. I will inform my neighborhood groups as well as my church members,friends and anyone else I come in contact with.These problems need to be looked into and corrected.
